Neal + Leigh: Highlands NC

This one is LONG overdue!  Congrats to Leigh + Neal….you guys rock!  This is a small snippet from an awesome wedding weekend up in Highlands N. C.  Their ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church in the town of Highlands and the reception was held at the Wildcat Cliffs golf club right outside of Highlands.  It was an absolutely stunning July day with a few rain showers here and there….which is only a sign of good luck on your wedding day.  Thanks for including me!  I hope you two have an amazing one year anniversary!  Love you guys!

A. Barclay

My latest shoot was with scarf designer Anna Sibley and her company called A. Barclay.  You can check out her line by clicking here.  She is a Birmingham native and moved to Atlanta after college.  When I asked her why design scarfs, she simply said I just really love them and I wanted to find a way to give back.  By this she is referring to her companies mission to use a percentage of the sale of each scarf to purchase school supplies for orphans in Tanzania.  You can learn more about her ventures by going to her website (link above).  Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot for her 2013 line.

Model: Anna Salzillo

San Cassiano, Italy

I recently took a trip to Italy with my family.  The Dolomites were so fabulous!  We spent a week in San Cassiano, somewhat close to Cortina, Italy.  It is within the Alta Badia which is part of the Dolomites in the Italian Alps.  As you ski from San Cassiano you are surrounded by the mountains Lavarella, Conturines and Lagazuoi.  These are some of the most impressive and craggy peaks I have ever seen.  Among these peaks there is a famous ski tour called the Sellaronda wich crosses four mountain passes and covers 40 km or 25 miles of slopes.  The day we skied the Sellaronda we started at 10:00 and finish around 4:00.  I want to guesstimate that we went on over 30 different chair lifts and went through approximately 9 towns.  This is the way of the Alps.

Occidental, California II

On our second outing with our friends we decided to explore a beach close by.  So we packed up the kids, a homemade bottle of wine and headed to the great pacific.  This last image is where the Russian River meets the ocean.  Such a powerful place.  This was our last hoorah before heading to the airport for the redeye back to the east coast.  I almost volunteered my seat up just so I could stay just a bit longer.  Not to worry though, there will be a next time.  Thank you to everyone who made our fabulous vacation possible.  I miss you already.
